Hard Subject

This is the guitar I used to write my first 4 songs, including Hard Subject.

When I decided to start writing songs this was the guitar I had in my basement. Now I have two other guitars, which you can see on the Guitar page of my website. As of right now, Hard Subject is the only song on my SoundCloud which was recorded on this First Act guitar, the other 3 songs (Make More Room, Winter Sun & BTW) were all recorded on my Ibanez guitar. Being my first guitar, means this one will always hold extra sentimental value for me.

When I recorded the vocals for Hard Subject, I layered two vocals on top of each other, one "natural" vocal and one "edge" vocal. I liked how this gave the vocal a grittier tone while still sounding like me. Below is an example from part of the chorus if you asked yourself "wtf are you talking about, Kira?"
